What is the Mews Digital Key?
The Mews Digital Key allows you to use your smartphone as your room key during your stay at The Sendal Boutique Hotel.
After completing your online check-in, you will receive access to your digital key through the Mews Guest Journey experience, allowing you to unlock your room quickly and securely using your mobile device.
How do I access my digital room key?
Once your online check-in is completed and your room is ready, your digital key will automatically become available through the Mews Guest Portal.
Simply follow the instructions provided in your check-in confirmation email to access and use your key.
Which devices are supported?
- iPhone running the latest version of iOS
- Android devices running Android 9 or later
- Devices with Bluetooth and NFC capabilities enabled
How do I use my digital key?
To unlock your room, simply hold your smartphone near the door lock as instructed in the Mews Guest Portal.
No physical key card is required unless preferred.
Do I need to install an app?
Depending on your device and operating system, you may be prompted to use the Mews Guest Journey experience through your mobile browser or install the Mews app for an enhanced experience.
What if my digital key is not working?
Please ensure that:
- Bluetooth is enabled on your device
- NFC is enabled if required by your device
- Your phone has an active internet connection during activation

Can I still receive a physical key card?
Yes. Physical key cards remain available upon request.
What happens if I have multiple bookings?
- If you have multiple reservations, a separate digital key may be issued for each stay or assigned room after completing online check-in.
Where can I use my digital key?
Your digital key provides access not only to your room, but also to designated hotel areas requiring guest access, including the main entrance and other guest-only areas.
What happens if my phone battery runs out?
If your phone battery is depleted, please visit or contact the Front Desk and we will immediately issue you a physical key card.
What happens if I lose my phone?
If your phone is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately so we can deactivate your digital key for security purposes.
Is the digital key secure?
Yes. The Mews Digital Key system uses secure, encrypted technology designed to protect your privacy and provide safe access to your room and hotel facilities.
Can I use both a digital key and a physical key card?
Yes. Guests may use both during their stay if preferred.
